Sandeep Patil is a former Indian cricketer and cricket coach. He was born on August 18, 1956, in Mumbai, India. Patil was a middle-order batsman and occasional medium pace bowler who played for the Indian national team from 1980 to 1986.
Patil was known for his aggressive style of batting and scored over 3000 runs in international cricket, including a memorable century in the 1983 Cricket World Cup. He also played domestic cricket for the West Zone and Mumbai teams.
After retiring from playing, Sandeep Patil served as the coach of the Indian national team and the director of the National Cricket Academy. He also worked as a chief selector for the Indian cricket team.
